How is Congress Writing Health Reform Legislation (Senate)
The Senate Finance Committee and the Senate Health, Education, Pensions, and Labor (HELP) Committee share responsibility for health care reform legislation. Each of these committees will write their own health reform bill.
- The Senate Finance Committee invited stakeholders to participate and weigh in on three key issues: Reforming America’s Health Care Delivery System, Expanding Health Care Coverage , and Financing Comprehensive Health Care Reform . View roundtable discussion on each of these issues.
- The Senate HELP Committee will craft its own health reform legislation, and the two separate bills will be combined on the Senate floor.
