Picture Health Reform!

In opposition to health reform efforts in Congress, the right-wing has gotten a lot of press and airtime, making their position very visible to both our elected representatives and the public at large.  While it is challenging to make it in person to every representative’s town hall meetings, there are other ways that we – the pro-health reform majority – can make ourselves visible.

Picture Health Reform! is a project to collect photographs of Texan individuals, families, and communities who want to send a positive health reform message to their member of Congress and their community.  Here’s how it works:

•    Take a digital photo of yourself, your family, your neighborhood, your book club – whomever! – that includes a positive, supporting health reform message (see below for ideas).
•    Send your photo to quongcharles@cppp.org and include your name and zip code number (to identify your Congressional district)
•    We will post these photos in an online gallery that can be shared widely on social networking sites, and will feature the most creative photos on our website
•    We will also share you photos with your members of Congress at the end of the August recess so that, as they return to Washington, DC, they will know their constituents support health reform
•    Photos must not contain nudity, illegal use of alcohol or drugs, or include children or animals an in exploitative or harmful manner.  Texas Voice for Health Reform reserves the right to not to post photos that we deem inappropriate.
